Books, Brushes & Bands for Education
Books, Brushes & Bands for Education (BBB4E) is a nonprofit organization focused on the education of all youth. Organized in 2000, BBB4E serves public, private, parochial, and home school students ages 5-18. Our goal is to provide high quality fine arts experiences during evening hours. Students may learn to play musical instruments and find their singing voices. Highly-rated instructors, some of which come from the Merit School of Music in Chicago, bring their performance experience to enhance the classroom. In addition, we provide classes so that students experience the visual arts. In 2012, BBB4E created Book Brigade: A Call to Action. Over 15,000 new and gently used children and adult books have been collected and are distributed through various means in Northwest Indiana.
We provide classes for Band, Orchestra and Choir for children ages 5 to 18. All classes range from beginner to intermediate, we also provide an adults choir for parents to participate in. Each year we have a Book Brigade that collects new and gently used books and distributes them to families across Northwest Indiana
